Blair Co. Projects Awarded Grant Funding, Barger Says
August 18, 2026
HARRISBURG – Three infrastructure projects in Blair County have been awarded grant funding through the state’s Multimodal Transportation Fund, according to Rep. Scott Barger (R-Blair/Huntingdon).
Bellwood Borough was selected to receive $473,000 to continue its streetscape work along Main Street. Antis Township will use $300,000 to extend the Logan Valley Trail to Lower Riggles Gap Road, while Woodbury Township will replace the Larke Road bridge with more than $1.2 million.
“These are important investments in rural infrastructure that too often can be overlooked. I commend borough and township leaders for seeking out this money to address work needed in our own backyards,” Barger said.
The Legislature created the Multimodal Transportation Fund in 2013 to address ports and rail freight, aviation needs, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, and similar projects.
