Barger’s Offices to Collect Worn Flags

HOLLIDAYSBURG – Worn and damaged flags will be collected by Rep. Scott Barger’s Hollidaysburg and Bellwood offices in June to be prepared for proper retirement.

Barger (R-Blair/Huntingdon) will collect flags during regular business hours at 324 Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg, and 135 Stadium Drive, Bellwood. The Bellwood office is operating under temporary schedule changes, so constituents are asked to call ahead of time.

“Flag Day is an important opportunity to show respect for our nation’s flag,” Barger said. “I wanted to make it easy for residents of the 80th District to properly retire worn and damaged flags in accordance with federal flag etiquette.”

Barger will work with community partners for a retirement ceremony.
